Today I want to talk about this one song that I’ve loved since forever and it’ll always be. This song is called Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid. This was in the first disney movie I’ve ever seen and it’s never going to leave my head ever!
The Lyrics are about this creature, more specifically a mermaid who fell in love with this human, where they can’t be together because they are socially unacceptable to be together and physically can’t be togther.
Anyways there were many memories with this song that will never leave my mind. There was this one time when I first came over to America and I didn’t know how to speak english. My aunt first introduced me to this movie because it was also her favorite disney movie. She lent it to me because whenever I would come to her house I would watch it over and over countless times. You could say I fell in love with it.
I also fell in love with the soundtrack to, from Part of Your World to Under the Sea. All of the songs were that catchy where any 5 year old would love. I remember dancing to this song and jamming to it in my bedroom every single day.
If you were a child with no decent wifi or cable, you would know the struggle with watching decent films. There were some good ones, but it’s rare, so everytime I wanted to watch a good film without having the wifi stop your film, I would watch The Little Mermaid everytime, since it was on a DVD.
If you have never watched The Little Mermaid, I highly recommend it. It may be a disney classic and no one really watch classics anymore, but the plot is better than most movies or stories these days so yeah, if you ever get the chance to watch it, you should.
